Geoffrey Goodwin was appointed as Head of BBC Switch in 2007. Geoff is responsible for delivering a portfolio of high-quality multi-platform content to younger British Teenagers, aged 12 – 17

Geoffrey has thirteen years of extensive media and entertainment experience, ranging from television, motion picture and web production through to communications, project management and strategy

Previously, Geoffrey was Head of Strategy for Drama, Entertainment and CBBC. Geoffrey created and maintained strategic projects and policy across programme-making departments; wrote the BBC’s recent Film Policy and was the Strategic Lead for the BBC’s Creative Future Project: Kids and Teens Workstream

In September 2000, Geoffrey graduated with an MBA from the University of Edinburgh Management School. After graduating, Geoffrey worked with the IXL Consulting and BBC Technology and Ventures as a Media Consultant, delivering media solutions across a broad range of projects including rights management, broadband rich media content and interactive applications

Prior to this, Geoffrey worked for Alliance Atlantis Communications, Paragon Entertainment and in various TV and motion picture production roles in his native Canada
