Being stuck to a page was never enough for me. I wanted the whole library of communication skills and that's why I jumped from schoolboy to shipping office to soldier to ad agency to cartoonist to author to TV and radio presenter to President of the Lord's Taverners to... what next?

I have a couple of developed skills; drawing, speaking etc and some pretty raw ones but my real strength is lateral thinking! Think any way you like; forwards, sideways backwards, most often backwards because we have more past than future and the trick is to allow escaped thoughts to spill over or bump into each other. These serendipity connections usually lead to totally unexpected results called 'creativity' and I get as big a kick out of doing what I do today as I did when I sold my first cartoon in Japan in the 20th century.
