mscapes are location based mobile games, stories and educational journeys. They are experienced on GPS-enabled PDAs and based on easy to use software developed by HP Labs

We invited creatives across the UK to tell us about the mscape that they would like to make

60 entries were uploaded

Super Scurry, Our Music, Our City, The Detective, Night Bridge and Riverains were selected as the winners of this first stage

The five finalists were awarded £1000 each and developed their seed ideas through an open source iterative design procees. This included a day at the Pervasive Media Studio, a public interim pitch session at the ICA and the final pitch at b.TWEEN 08

The five final pitches were filmed and screened at cultural centres across the UK. The public and delegates were asked to vote for their favourite. The idea with the most votes won £10,000 to make their idea into reality
